Dynamics 365 Query authentication guide

This is a step-by-step guide to acquiring Dynamics 365 credentials and authorizing the Dynamics 365 Query component.

Create an OAuth connection

  1. You need to create an OAuth connection. Follow the instructions in OAuth until you reach the Organization URL and Edition fields—at which point, you should return to this page.
  2. Log in to Office 365 Home.
  3. Click the Business Apps tab at the top.
  4. Click the Dynamics 365 - custom app. This will open a Dynamics 365 dashboard. The page's URL will contain your Dynamics 365 organization URL. Copy everything before and including, for example and paste this into the Organization URL field in the Add new OAuth dialog in the Data Productivity Cloud.
  5. Select an edition from the drop-down field.
  6. Click Authorize.
  7. A new browser tab will open, connecting you to the third party. Select your account, and complete the connection. Upon success, this browser tab will close.
  8. The OAuth connections menu will now display your new OAuth connection.
  9. Your new OAuth connection is ready for use with the Dynamics 365 Query component.
