Marketplace subscriptions (AWS/Azure)

The Data Productivity Cloud provides subscription and billing management features for all registered customers.

Any users with the Billing service enabled on their user account can set up a subscription, and when your free trial has ended, upgrade it immediately.

Note

To cancel a subscription or change your payment method, contact your sales representative or our support team.

Marketplace billing information

Matillion can automatically bill customers through AWS and Azure Marketplace. For more information, read the appropriate documentation:

• AWS Marketplace subscription
• Azure Marketplace subscription
• Snowflake Marketplace subscription

Note

To pay via Snowflake Marketplace, contact your sales representative or support.

Matillion tracks and aggregates usage, then calculates the total amount due based on your pricing plan. This total is submitted to AWS or Azure Marketplace as a usage-based charge, with units priced at $0.01 each. While the unit cost appears as $0.01 in both marketplaces, Matillion adjusts the number of units reported to reflect the actual total owed.

Billing data is submitted hourly, based on your metered usage.

The final billing amount is sent to AWS and Azure Marketplace, which handles the charge. Matillion manages all the pricing logic internally, allowing for full flexibility in applying promotions, credits, or custom pricing options.

Setting up a subscription

Note

You can only subscribe to the Developer edition. To subscribe to any other edition, contact your sales representative.

When your 14-day Credit Based Trial ends, follow these steps to set up and manage your subscription:

1. Access the Data Productivity Cloud and login with your existing user credentials. These credentials will have been created during the account registration process.

2. You will be redirected to My account, where you can click the intended account.

   Note

   You can join a maximum of twenty five accounts. To add a new account to your existing subscription, read Create an account.

3. You will be taken to the Data Productivity Cloud homepage. Click Monitor credit usage and the Usage dashboard will be displayed.

   Note

   The Monitor credit usage button will only appear if you have the Billing service enabled on your user account.

4. To upgrade and subscribe to a paid plan, click View pricing at the top of the page.

5. Further down the page, you can choose the appropriate payment method for your plan.

Choosing a payment method

Once you have built your plan, continue to scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will reach the Payment method section.

1. You will now be required to choose how you want to pay for your plan:

   • Card Payment: This payment method is available for PayGo subscriptions. Click Select Card Payment to enter your credit card details. Once this information has been saved to your Data Productivity Cloud account, you will be able to use this card for future payments. You will need to select the checkbox to indicate you agree and accept Matillion's EULA before you can select this payment method.
   • AWS Marketplace: Click Select AWS Payment to pay via your AWS account. If your Data Productivity Cloud account is already associated with the AWS Marketplace, then you can pay directly through the marketplace by default. For more information, read AWS Marketplace subscription.
   • Azure Marketplace: Click Select Azure Payment to pay via your Microsoft Azure account. If your Data Productivity Cloud account is already associated with the Azure Marketplace, then you can pay directly through the marketplace by default. For more information, read Azure Marketplace subscription.

2. Click Place Order on the right, under Your order summary, and you will be taken to a confirmation page to finalize your subscription payment process.
