Free trial
The Data Productivity Cloud is a single platform for user administration, projects, billing, subscription management, observability, and other administration activities. By default, newly registered Data Productivity Cloud accounts start the 14-day free trial, where 500 complimentary Matillion Credits are allocated for use across the Data Productivity Cloud and Matillion ETL.
The free trial grants account-wide access to the full Enterprise edition offering.
The complimentary credits will expire after 14 days, after which, you will need to upgrade to a paid subscription on an edition that suits your needs.
Note
If your Credit Based Trial period comes to an end before you upgrade, your subscription will either expire or automatically roll over onto the Pay-Go subscription plan. This will depend upon whether payment details have been entered and saved to your account. For more information, read Marketplace subscriptions, and Payment and invoicing, respectively.
Once you have started your trial
When your free trial begins, log in to the Data Productivity Cloud, click the account you want to work in, and the Data Productivity Cloud homepage will be displayed. Select one of the following services:
- In the left navigation, click the Projects icon
to get started with Designer. For more information, read Designer overview.
- In the left navigation, click the Agents & Instances icon
. Then, select Instances in the menu, to begin your Matillion ETL journey. Create an instance, and associate it to your existing Data Productivity Cloud account.
- In the left navigation, click the Data Loader icon
to begin your Data Loader journey.
- To move data using your own custom connector, in the left navigation, click the Custom Connectors icon. Then, click Custom Connectors in the menu, and begin your journey by clicking Add connector. For more information, read Custom Connector Overview.
After your trial ends
After your free trial ends, your Data Productivity Cloud configuration will be retained for a short period of time; this includes any projects, branches, and authentications to third-party services you created during this period. However, the following changes will take effect from the moment your trial ends:
- If you started your trial from a marketplace, you'll roll on to Pay-Go at the end of your trial.
- If you've added payment details during your trial, you'll roll on to Pay-Go at the end of your trial.
- When your trial expires, your agent will be suspended, and you won't be able to run any pipelines until a subscription is applied.
- You'll be able to log in to the Data Productivity Cloud, but won't be able to access core services, such as Designer.
Note
For more information about Pay-Go, and the other subscription plans, read Appendix: Subscription payment information.
If you don't want to lose any of these features, and continue using the Data Productivity cloud, upgrade to a paid subscription on an edition that suits your needs.
