Edit user permissions
Users who have been granted the User Admin role can view all other Matillion Hub users and grant or deny them access to Hub services.
Setting user permissions and service access
Use the following steps to modify user permissions:
- Log in to the Hub.
- On the My account page, select your account.
- Click Users on the left sidebar.

Click ... next to the name of a user, and click Edit user.
Note
From this menu, you can also Remove a user's Hub account. Exercise caution when using this option!

In the Edit User dialog, use the toggle buttons to set the permissions and service access for that user. See Permissions and Services, below, for details.
- Click Save.
These changes will take effect the next time the user refreshes their page on the Hub.
Roles
Users who are granted the User Admin role will be able to edit basic account configurations, manage permissions for other users, and Manage account users.
Users who are granted the Super Admin role will have all the permissions of the User Admin role, and are also granted the Admin role on all projects and environments in the account.
Note
- Each account must have at least one user with the Super Admin role at all times. Removal or changes to a user with the Super Admin role must be done by another user with the Super Admin role.
- Accounts created before December 2024 do not have a Super Admin user automatically assigned. If you wish to elevate an existing user to have the Super Admin role, raise a Support ticket. For more information, read Getting support.
Services
The Data Productivity Cloud includes a number of different services. With the User Admin role, you can select which services each user is allowed access to. The services are:
- Designer
- Data Loader
- Manage Agents
- Billing
