Developer edition

If you're considering moving from a paid PayGo Basic, Advanced or Enterprise plan to the Developer edition, this guide will walk you through the process. The Developer edition is ideal for exploring the Data Productivity Cloud with limited resources, but it is important to note that it offers reduced functionality compared to the Basic, Advanced, and Enterprise plans. For more information, read Editions.

Warning

Before you downgrade it is important to know that the Developer edition includes limited features and may not meet the needs of most production use cases. Compare plans and features to make sure it's the right decision for you.

Move to the Developer edition

How you unsubscribe from your current plan depends on your current billing method:

Unsubscribe from credit card payment

  1. Log in to your Data Productivity Cloud account.
  2. Go to the Usage Dashboard.
  3. Select View all under Invoices.
  4. Click Cancel Subscription.
  5. Once canceled, you can re-subscribe to the Developer edition by visiting the Choose your edition page.

Note

If you already have Matillion ETL associated to your account, you will not be able to subscribe to the Developer edition.

Unsubscribe from the AWS Marketplace or Azure Marketplace subscriptions

  1. Unsubscribe directly from the Marketplace listing where you initially subscribed.
  2. You'll need to wait 1 hour (as per Marketplace rules), then navigate to:
    1. The Choose your edition page.
    2. Then, select the Developer edition to re-subscribe.

When to cancel your current subscription

To maximize the value of your current subscription, we recommend waiting until the end of the month before making changes. Platform fees for Basic, Advanced, and Enterprise plans are billed monthly and cover the entire month, even if you cancel mid-way through your subscription agreement.
