Change email address

Hub customers can change their email address, and use an updated one to access their Hub account. Automated notifications customers will receive when requesting a change to their email address are displayed in Appendix: Email change notifications.

Note

  • This process is only for users who log in to the Hub with an email address and password. Anyone who uses a third-party identity provider to log in to their account must manage their email address directly with their identity provider.
  • If you log in to the Hub with an email address and password, and you want to reset your password, read Resetting Password.

Changing your email address

  1. Log in to the Hub.
  2. The My account page will immediately be displayed. Select your account.
  3. In the upper-right corner, click the downward-facing arrow on the user menu, and select Account Details.
  4. The Personal Details tab will be displayed. In the sidebar on the left, click Email & Password.
  5. The Email & Password tab will display your currently stored email address. Click the Edit icon situated next to it to open the Change email address overlay. Enter your new email address, then click Change.

    Note

    You will receive a confirmation email to your old email address, and a second email to your new email address with a link you must click to confirm the change. The new link is only valid for 24 hours. Upon expiration of the link, you will be required to follow the above process again, and request a new change of email address. For more information, read Appendix: Email change notifications.

  6. Click the link in the email sent to your new email address.

    Note

    You will receive another email confirming your email change.

  7. Log back in to the Hub using your new email address.


Appendix: Email change notifications

The table below shows the toast notifications a customer will receive in Hub when they request a change to their email address.

Message Status Description
Change email address request cancelled Your request has been canceled. Continue to use your old email address to access your Hub account.
Request was unsuccessful Your email address couldn't be changed. Try requesting a change to your email again, or enter a business email address.
Verification email sent An email has been sent to your new email address to confirm the change. Please click the link in the email to complete your change of email address.
